Phil Jones The Art Of War 2007 © Captcha Records
Genre: Rock / World Music $20.00
The debut album by Phil Jones brings his 'heavy-mellow' sound to light, and raises the bar for pop/rock songwriters of our time. A dynamic hybrid of styles and lyrical depth, his music blurs the lines between the genres, redefines the borders, and perfectly tugs at both 70's LA and 80's UK - yielding an original and classic feeling collection.
Featuring several world class players, such as Kenny Aronoff (Smashing Pumpkins, Avril Lavigne), Davey Faragher (Cracker), Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello), John Pierce (Dido) and Neil Larsen (Rickie Lee Jones, Simply Red), this 9 song assault of hook-laden melodic rock is destined to mark the arrival of an up and coming star.

Orisha Self-titled
Genre: Electronica / Trip Hop / Ambient $20.00
‘the way her (vocalist emah fox) lush, emotive voice works within the dense and tricky tech-beat soundscapes here is nothing short of joyous… a rich sense of melody and drama.’ - Rolling Stone
‘darkly beautiful, organic, sincere, haunting – everything that’s missing from so much modern music… it’s love at first listen.’ - Zebra
‘this is ambient electronica at its finest… the entire album is somewhat of a revelation… world-class electronica …’ - Revolver

Cross-Eyed Mary In Tents
Genre: Rock / Pop / Blues $15.00
A great follow up to their Down The Road 2005 EP, In Tents is a smooth blend of rock, pop and blues. Cross-Eyed Mary, once know in 2001 as Salad Monkey, has began a successful 2007 as support act for The Black Sorrows, Killing Heidi, The Drones and The Basics.
Combining song writing talents, band guitarist/vocalist Troy Denny and lead vocalist/guitarist Timothy Hocking, it became very apparent that their latest album In Tents would feature an array of well crafted tracks such as 'Back Again' and 'Get Free'.
It's worth getting your hands on this album. Listen: Cross-Eyed Mary
